Retrogrades Slaughter House@Bandung,West Java
This super sleek XS got lots of details..nothing fancy,no expensive vintage parts or whatever...but it turn out great...
the built of this humble Triumph only took about a month or so(please,do not compare it with biker build-off)...lots of handmade parts and it runs like hell....love it,especially the Batik(Indonesian traditional fabric) paintjob....

two generations...
Evolution and Ironhead sportys.. Wira snap this picture almost a year a go in the old town part of Jakarta.. as i recall, we (me, Wira, Vero, and Irvan) were avoiding the rain that's comin to the south part of the town by heading west that late afternoon.. we ended up in this incredible restaurant which serves duck mee-hoon and some vintage sarsaparilla sodas..
we managed to avoid the rain from pouring on to us.. but couldn't avoid the wet road on our way home.. so, its about 18 KM of riding with my head tilted to the left to avoid the sprays from my tyres.. it was good time, good ride, and we got good amount of dirt in our teeth...

Sunday sunny Sunday
me and Wira were able to get up early last Sunday and ride to Vero's Kickass HQ... meet up with Adit in front of the shop, and we spend the rest of the morning chillin' at the shop...our friend Eric was visiting from Jogja and it was a good chat catching up with old friends...
family heirloom...
got a new addition for my head gear.. this 1971 vintage Shoei helmet.. it used to be my dad's helmet when he ride during college in the '70s untill my birth in '82..
he used to owned 2 BMW R27 and a Yamaha XS-650, and really in to goin' fast on a big (in Indonesia, any motorcycle above 150cc was considered big back then) bike.. once he street raced a Suzuki GT380 (if i'm not mistaken) on a late afternoon in Gempol, East Java, when a cyclist crosses the street without looking at the on going traffic.. my dad had to slide his bike trying to stop and avoid the cyclist.. he scrapped the road for about 100 meter while protecting his leg behind the engine guard.. he survived with few scratches on his R27 and few more on this helmet..
after my birth and knowing that he's now a father of a baby boy, he decided to get rid of all his joy and hobby.. his bikes, his riding gear, his trophies and awards from his Karate life.. i guess he didn't wanted his son to be a rebelious biker and could get in to a fight.. but he kept this helmet for a souvenir from his youth days...
but now, i guess oil is thicker than blood.. or was it the other way around..?? well, either way, i'm riding now.. and a proud owner of my Ironhead.. as they say, the apple falls not far from its tree right.. so the helmet now falls not far from my dad's cabinet.. on to my own helmet rack.. thanks a lot dad, gonna polish it reall well...

bout 4 years a go...
when i'm still working for the H-D dealership, we got this night run called "Sahur on the Road" which we ride and give away food for the homeless and poor people on the road... on one of those night runs, my regular "company-bike" a '03 FXDX Dyna was assigned to one of my co-worker... which leaves me to ride a '02 FXDP Dyna Police... it was high in ground clearance, tall seat with big cushion, and a pullback handlebar... i seriously look hideous on it..!! Vero even tease me by sitting on his gas tank and holding his apehanger so close to his body... we had a big laugh that night...
fast forward to three weeks a go: went to Kickass Chopper's HQ for Vero's Ied Fiesta with my new handlebar atached... after everybody get a sip of their drink, we went down to check out the parking lot and the rides... after a few throw-the-leg-over from every body, Vero told me that after 2 years of my stock apehanger, he finally could get rid of the image which he tease me 4 years ago... the image of me siting high on the air-shocked sofa and pullback bars must been sooo hideous that he always recalls that night...
it was a good day, with good friends, and sharing good laugh of hideous memories... hope to see you soon bors..!! cheers...
visit to Vero's land
went to visit Vero at his shop couple days ago...finding him and wally tweaking on Eric's shovel project and having a nice chat...another day well spend at the shop!!
